The people of the Valley understand that time is the most important resource and that life can really get away from you if you only focus on work, that is why the community of this small town has made it a point to celebrate the little things and make holidays around the not-so-little things.
Holidays are a big part of life in the Valley. There is hardly a week without something exciting spicing things up. Whether it is a chance to work at the community garden or share in a hearty bowl of soup, these events mean something that only people of the Valley truly understand. It’s more than a sense of community, it is a sense of belonging, a sense of being part of the same flow of time. Everyone in the Valley is but a little paper boat on the current, caught between the memories of the past, the excitement of the future, and the moments of the present. We are alone in the current, and yet we are not. We have people all around us, caring for us, sharing in rituals of our own making. Time is ever moving, the clock is ticking, but at least we have this moment. Together.
